Disclaimer - The above table gives the approximate number of acres drained for known sizes of tubing and the known rates of fall. These are only average values based on a design value of 3/8 inch water removed in a 24 hour period which is usually used. This cannot be used for all conditions. The use of surface inlets, surface drainage and soil types must also be considered when determining the size of mains and laterals. N vales used are; .015 4" thru 8";.017 for 10" and 12" and .02 for 15", 18", and 24"
